Use openssl to first generate an ssl key if you don't already have one to create the request for. We'll make it a 2048-bit rsa key in this case.
openssl genrsa -out www.centoshowtos.org.key 2048
We'll use sha256 signature here.
openssl req -new -sha256 -key www.centoshowtos.org.key -out www.centoshowtos.org.csr
That's it, now you can paste the contents or upload the csr to your certificate authority, and they'll send you the signed crt for the key. That is what will need to be installed on your servers/network equipment.Share on Twitter Share on Facebook
